Good Things

Project:
Create a three-dimensional painting inspired by 18th-century harvest bowls to exhibit at ZEST’s ‘Light Work’ exhibition.
For ZEST’s Light Work exhibition, I presented a layered wooden sculpture inspired by decorative ceramic bowls used during the harvest season in 18th-century England. Feasts were held when the harvest was good, with a loaf of bread baked from that season’s first grain and shared among the community.
A successful harvest was a sign of good things to come, which represented how I felt at having recently joined the art collective.
