The town of Eastleigh underwent a rebrand, updating its wordmark, colour scheme and graphic design to create a stronger visual language that helped locals and visitors better understand the events and support available in the town.
I created a library of 400+ doodles to be used in marketing materials (from social media images to in-person applications such as wayfinding systems). Each doodle was designed to work effectively both as a line drawing and as a coloured illustration, while reflecting the character of the town and its community.
Community Interaction
I worked with the community on two occasions to raise awareness of the project and encourage involvement.
I attended a Sustainability Hub event hosted by The Point Theatre, where I spoke to people about the project and drew passersby.
Next, I gave a talk to design students at Barton Peveril College alongside mural artist Nathan Evans. I spoke about how I approached the brief, explained my design process, and asked them which doodles they thought best represented teenagers in the town.
